The Hongkong Experience Continued.... @The Peak and Disneyland

continued....

Though tired from our endless walking the previous day, we still manage to wake up early for The Peak and the most awaited Disneyland experience...

On our attempt to have a taste of Hongkong, we went to one local restaurant and had noodles for breakfast... Didn't bother to get the name at all because the food doesn't taste good and the utensils were not clean.. Uhhh, we should have settled for Mcdo..

Anyways, after breakfast and some meeting with friends, we went to experience the tram ride at THE PEAK...

Getting There: Ride the MTR going to Central Hongkong. From there, just walk across the street, you'll be passing by Chater Garden and St. John's Cathedral before reaching The Peak Tram Lower Terminus.

Victoria Peak or The Peak has three major attractions. The Peak Tram, The Sky Terrace, and Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum. They sell individual tickets for each attraction, but they also have packages that you can avail if you want to experience everything. You can check their website www.thepeak.com.hk for rates.

We availed of the two-way tram ride+sky terrace at HK$65. Before getting to the tram terminus, you'll be passing The Peak Museum...

and now the train's coming..... We're going to ride this train to see the view from the top....

At the Sky Terrace, you'll be able to see the whole of Hongkong. Tall Buildings, trees, everything... Now this is what awaits you at the top...

The Peak is open until 10 in the evening so you can experience this "I'm on top of th world" moment at night.

This is Madam Tussaud's Wax Museum but we weren't able to see what's inside since we still have an appointment with Mickey Mouse.

After The Peak, we're off to our next destination- DISNEYLAND! :)

Getting There: We took the MTR going to Sunny Bay, then took the Disneyland Train which goes directly to the entrance of the theme park.

Disneyland is so huge.. It is divided into six parts, the toy story land, adventureland, main street USA, fantasyland, tomorrowland and the newly opened Grizzly Gulch. The entrance fee, by the way, cost $HK399 but a friend of my mom got it for us at HK$370.

Now here's a tour to the beautiful home of Mickey, Minnie, Pooh and the rest of the rest of the gang... :)

The Entrance:

Just after the entrance, you'll see the MAIN STREET USA... This is where souvenir shops and some food stalls are located. This is also where the Grand Disney Parade takes place.

Main Street U.S.A

Since it's already lunch time when we arrived, we decided to take our lunch first before exploring the park. And since we haven't eaten rice for two days now, we went to look for a place that serves rice.. Good thing we found one at TOMORROWLAND.

Tomorrowland is where you'll find Buzz Lightyear and Space Crafts and UFOs. Most of the rides here are for kids so we didn't get to try them.. Below, you'll see my lunch... Goodbye $HK100 for this meal... I had pork barbque with rice.. But my mom's chicken barbeque tastes better.

After lunch we planned the sequence of our tour. The Disney Parade will happen at 4:30 in the afternoon.. It's 2 o'clock already and so we decided to see Adventureland first before going to Fantasyland because that is the starting point of the parade.

ADVENTURELAND

If you're a fan of the Lion King, The Jungle Book and Tarzan, this is definitely your place. We did experience some of its attractions like the Raft to Tarzan's TreeHouse, Tarzan's Treehouse and Jungle River Cruise. But that's just a number of what you awaits you at Adventureland.

THE RAFT to Tarzan's Tree House

Tarzan's TreeHouse... It's cool in here... :)

The Jungle River Cruise was an amazing experience... Everything you expect to see in a jungle, you'll see it there... In fact, you'll see more... But as much as I would like to share what's inside the jungle, i'd leave that for you to experience... I don't wanna be a spoiler.. But believe me, it's exciting... :)

After the River Cruise, it's almost 4 o'clock so we need to run to the Fantasyland cause the parade will be starting in a few...

FANTASYLAND

Here in Fantasyland, Fairy tales do come true... Inside, I got the chance to meet my Prince Charming ... You want proof?

Mission Accomplished! This is the reason why I went to Disneyland... To have a photo taken with my favorite Disney Character, Mickey Mouse... :)

Oooops! The parade has just started.. So after having our photos taken with some Disney Characters, we headed directly to the entrance of Fantasyland to see one of the highlights, THE GRAND DISNEY PARADE.

It's like living in the world of fairy tale seeing those Disney Characters.. We're literally running from one place to another just to see them closer and finally we did...

After that tiring yet wonderful parade experience, we rested a bit, see souvenir shops and then head directly to the story book theatre to watch THE GOLDEN MICKEYS- a musical that features disney characters and individuals showcasing disney films.

My mom's tired already but we still have two more places to see.. We tried catching the last disney train that tours the whole disneyland but we just missed it. And so next stop would be TOY STORY LAND

See Woody and the rest of the Gang here... We weren't able to experience the rides here because the lines are too long... But there's one ride that I wouldn't miss and so we went to the last our last stop, GRIZZLY GULCH

It took us more than half an hour before we could finally get to experience this latest ride here in Disneyland ... But the long wait is worth it because the ride was super fun and exciting... :)

The Park will be closing in a few minutes so we went back to the entrance of fantasyland to witness the spectacular fireworks display.

For someone who grew up with he characters like mickey mouse and peter pan, and  the music of Aladdin and Mulan, it’s such a dream come true having experienced their world…. The world of fairytale- Disneyland
